The client, managing a large-scale facility with hundreds of workers, struggled with inefficient access control and attendance tracking. The manual verification of ID cards led to frequent errors, delays, and security risks. Moreover, the absence of a centralized system made it difficult to enforce attendance policies or monitor workforce movement in real time.
To overcome these challenges, we developed Vision Sentinel — a smart, AI-powered attendance and access control system. The solution consisted of a Flutter-based Android kiosk app integrated with TensorFlow Mobile for face recognition and a Node.js backend powered by WebSocket technology for real-time data synchronization.
The kiosk app allowed workers to mark attendance through secure facial recognition upon entry and exit, eliminating the need for ID cards. The backend system ensured continuous data flow between devices, maintaining operational integrity even during temporary network or server downtime.
Vision Sentinel transformed the client’s facility management ecosystem by introducing a seamless, secure, and automated attendance process. Workers could quickly verify their identity using facial recognition, reducing check-in time and preventing unauthorized access.
With a centralized backend and real-time synchronization, administrators gained complete visibility into attendance logs and worker movements. The solution significantly improved operational efficiency, security, and regulatory compliance, setting a new benchmark for modern workforce management.
